Camarão das Honduras

Entradas

Ingredientes:
3 camarões médios
1 colher de sopa de sementes de sésamo preto
1 colher de sopa de sementes de sésamo branco
1 colher de sopa de pimenta da Jamaica
4 colheres de sopa de farinha de trigo
½ copo de cerveja
3 folhas de endívias
3 colheres de sobremesa de mousse de manga
1 Kiwi
1 Tomate confitado
Flor de sal q.b.
Pimenta q.b.

Preparação
Descascar e temperar o camarão com flor de sal e pimenta. Fazer um polme com a farinha de trigo e a cerveja. Passar um a um o camarão, primeiro pelo polme, de seguida pelo misto de sésamo misturado com a pimenta da Jamaica.
De seguida fritar os camarões em óleo bem quente durante 2 a 3 minutos.
Para empratar: num prato de servir colocar uma folha de endívia por cada camarão, dentro de cada folha por a mousse de manga (manga fresca triturada com um pouco de natas batidas). Por cima da mousse de manga colocar um camarão. Decorar cada folha de endívia já com o camarão, com um pouco de kiwi partido em cubinhos e tomate confitado em tiras. Por fim salpicar o prato com a mistura de sésamos e pimenta da Jamaica.

Recipe: Flor de Sal

Shrimp in Honduras
Entries
Ingredients:
3 medium shrimp
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
1 tablespoon allspice
4 tablespoons flour
½ cup beer
3 endive leaves
3 teaspoons mango mousse
1 Kiwi
1 Tomato Confit
Fleur de sel q.b.
Pepper q.b.

Preparation
Peel the shrimp and season with fleur de sel and pepper. Make a batter with flour and beer. Skip the shrimp one by one, the first batter, then the mixture of sesame mixed with allspice.
Then fry the shrimp in hot oil for 2-3 minutes.
For plating: a platter put a piece of endive on each shrimp inside each leaf by the mango mousse (chopped fresh mango with a little whipped cream). Above the mango mousse put a shrimp. Garnish each piece of endive already with shrimp, with a little party diced kiwi and tomato confit in strips. Finally sprinkle the dish with the mixture of sésamos and allspice.

E depois da cosmopolita Singapura seguimos até Bali, o 1º impacto não foi positivo, tanto tempo para conseguir sair do aeroporto, com as burocracias de pagar taxas de entrada e passar pelo ponto de imigração e as malas. O povo de Bali, olha para os turistas como fonte de rendimento, a mim incomodava-me não conseguir andar a vontade, simplesmente a passear, a apreciar as vistas sem que não houvesse alguém a ofereçer os serviços de taxi, massagens, isto, aquilo e mais aquilo. O Hotel em que ficamos o Nusa Dua Beach Hotel é simplesmente fantástico, os funcionários são muito simpáticos e atenciosos. As instalações um luxo, um hotel que mantém o traço da cultura de Java. Mas melhor que tentar descrever é ver:

Chegamos a Singapura numa tarde muito quente, depois de 16 horas de vôo, o nosso trajecto iniciou-se em Lisboa, com uma escala em Amesterdão. Singapura foi uma grande surpresa, muito cosmopolita, muito limpa e organizada e com uma boa sensação de segurança.

A nossa estadia era apenas de 2 curtos dias e era impossível ver tudo… Passeamos pela magnifica Orchard Road, visitamos o Museu Nacional, o Flyer e o Jardim Botânico.

We arrived in Singapore on a hot afternoon, after 16 hours of flight, our journey began in Lisbon, with a stopover in Amsterdam. Singapore was a big surprise, very cosmopolitan, very clean and organized and a good sense of security.

Our stay was only two short days and it was impossible to see everything ... we walk around the magnificent Orchard Road, visit the National Museum, the Flyer and the Botanical Gardens.

E no inicio era apenas um molde de Petal Box da Melissa Esplin, e foram muitas caixas para presentear as senhoras… e sim enchi-as com chocolate variado… As crianças tiveram direito a caixas especiais, também tirei o molde do mesmo site, e foi mais a base de gomas.

And in the beginning it was just a cast of Petal Box by Melissa Esplin, and many boxes were made has a gift for the ladies ... and I filled them with assorted chocolate ... The children were entitled to special boxes also, I also took the cast from the same site, and they were filled gums.

Para quem acompanha o meu blogue sabe que esta foi uma data especial, foi o dia do meu casamento! Desde Janeiro deste ano que andávamos a preparar a sério este dia. Foram muitas horas de pesquisa na Net, muitas revistas, muitas indecisões e decisões, algumas dores de cabeça. Mas penso que no final tudo correu pelo melhor. A nossa família e queridos amigos estiveram presentes para partilhar este dia connosco.

For those who follow my blog know that this was a special day it was my wedding day! Since January of this year that we were seriously preparing this day. There were many hours of research on the Net, many bride magazines, many decisions and indecision, a few headaches. But I think in the end everything worked out for the best. Our family and dear friends were present to share this day with us.

Hoje quando ia para o trabalho, a par com a distribuição gratuita dos jornais estavam a distribuir flores as mulheres, a propósito do dia da Mulher. Hummm …mas porque raio ainda temos um dia ?

Os nosso direitos devem ser totalmente iguais aos dos homens (embora em certas partes do mundo não o sejam e mesmo no países “1º mundo” ainda existem injustiças… ) .

E eles não tem um dia dedicado, pois não?

O PORQUÊ O DIA 8 DE MARÇO …
Neste dia, do ano de 1857, as operárias têxteis de uma fábrica de Nova Iorque entraram em greve, ocupando a fábrica, para reivindicarem a redução de um horário de mais de 16 horas por dia para 10 horas. Estas operárias que, nas suas 16 horas, recebiam menos de um terço do salário dos homens, foram fechadas na fábrica onde, entretanto, se declarara um incêndio, e cerca de 130 mulheres morreram queimadas. Em 1910, numa conferência internacional de mulheres realizada na Dinamarca, foi decidido, em homenagem àquelas mulheres, comemorar o 8 de Março como "Dia Internacional da Mulher".

Caso daqui a 37 dias e os preparativos começaram a meio de Janeiro. Sim eu sei há quem comece 1 ano antes…

Por favor eu não aguentaria um ano sempre a pensar na mesma coisa. I got the image from IStockPhoto, then I just went and work the image and finally decide which color to apply ...

I was very fond of these palettes combinations:

Yellow straw + Yellow "Gold” + Silver Gray
Deep Blue + Blue Sky + Chocolate Brown
Indigo + Purple + Silver Gray
Pink + Fushia Pink + Black
Dry Green + Green "Mint" + Chocolate Brown

and after much research, we choose:

Light Purple + Plum tone + Silver Gray

the paper we choose the white handmade silk paper, which gives a very nice touch and is very beautiful, because if the wires aren’t uniform and thats nice...:)

fortunately I managed to find white paint pen (Uniball) to write the envelopes addressed to ...

De seguida a árvore moderna, de uma visita ao Alentejo para visitar os meus avós encontrei no quintal uns galhos de pessegueiro, cheguei a casa e pintei-a de prateado, e coloquei alguns enfeites que encontrei na Loja do mestre Maco. O N. e o resto da família também gostaram da diferença.

Then the modern tree, a visit to the Alentejo to visit my grandparents and i saw in the backyard peach tree branches, I came home and painted it in silver, and put some decorations that I found in the shop master Maco. The N. and the rest of the family also liked the difference.

Olá… hoje é apenas um update de fotos, a buganvília da minha varanda que está muito florida, também temos uns bolbos (frésias, crocus, narcisos, iris holandeses, tulipa azul…)plantados mas tenho de esperar para ver o que virá!

O pôr-do-sol-de-outono-muito-quente visto da varanda, estava com uma cor muito quente.

E por fim cá estou eu! :)

Hello ... today is just an update of photos, the bougainvillea from my balcony which is very flowery, we also have some bulbs grown (freesias, crocus, daffodils, Dutch iris, blue tulip ...) but I have to wait and see what's coming!

Um pequeno update ao blog, voltei de férias e não sabia o que ia encontrar no meu local de trabalho, as coisas não andavam bem há algum tempo. Mas depois de uma semana de revelações/ mudanças, creio que finalmente posso dizer que vamos rumar para dias melhores! Existe esperança :)

A small update to the blog, I went on vacation and did not know what you'd find in my workplace, things did not go well for some time. But after a week of revelations / changes, I think I can finally say we head for better days! There is hope:)

Filmes que eu vi este último fim-de-semana…

1º Caramel, é um filme libanês, realizado pela directora/actriz Nadine Labaki e ganhou em 2007 um prémio no festival de Cannes. Numa palavra : Interessante. As escolhas que se fazem consoante a sociedade em que estamos inseridos. E tentar ser o que não se é.

2º Bem-vindo ao Norte ou “Bienvenue Chez les Ch'tis”, ver aqui e aqui, é uma comédia francesa deliciosa, não posso contar porque senão perde a piada… se bem que podiam ter explorado mais certas cenas.

3º Quem Quer Ser Um Milionário? finalmente consegui ver este tão afamado filme e é sem sombra de dúvidas um filme muito bom, algumas partes são cruéis, sim porque afinal fora do écran, existem crianças que passam por aquilo… arrepiante… mas tudo acaba quase bem.

e por último P.S. I Love You, ok é um filme a apelar muito ao emocional e também é triste mas eu gostei.

Movies that i saw this weekend…

1º Caramel it’s a Lebanese film, directed by the actress Nadine Labaki and it won on 2007 an award at the Cannes Film Festival. In a word: Interesting. The choices that are made according to the society in which we live in. And trying to be what you aren’t.

2º Welcome to the North or "Bienvenue Chez les Ch'tis", see here and here, is a delightful French comedy, I cannot tell because otherwise it will lost all the fun of it ... although it could be more exploited certain scenes.

3º Slumdog Millionaire I finally saw this movie that is so famous it’s without any shadow of doubt a very good movie, some parts are cruel, because out of the screen there are children who go through that ... creepy ... but at the end almost everything is just fine.

and finally PS I Love You, ok its a movie thta appeals a lot to the emotional and it has sad parts but I liked it.

Primeiro que tudo, eu sei que estes projectos estão longe de terem atingido o nível que pretendia… mas é assim também trabalhando e aperfeiçoando técnicas.

O rosto é sempre algo difícil, mas tem expressão e isso é algo que me atrai.

O 1º projecto é o mais recente, utilizei Derwent's Tinted charcoal pencils, não são muito fáceis de utilizar…

O 2º projecto utilizei óleo, que é sempre muito fácil de misturar e originar nuances de cor fantásticas. O Objectivo era o antigo, uma imagem em tons sépia, castanhos.

Pode ser que os próximos corram melhor :)

First of all, I know that these projects are far from achiving the level that i wanted… but it’s like that also, work to to improve techniques.

The face is always something hard to do, but it has expression and that’s something that attract me.

The 1st project it’s the newest, i used Derwent's Tinted charcoal pencils, they aren’t very easy to use for me…

The 2nd project i used oil paint, which is always very easy to mix and create wonderful shades of color. The goal was the former/old, a picture in sepia tones, browns.

It may be that the next one turns out better :)

Há algum tempo que não consigo trabalhar em nada relacionado com a pintura… motivo, entre o trabalho, a familia e a decoração da casa, não tem sobrado tempo. Ficam as ideias a pairar, a espera do tempo de concretização.

Isto de decorar uma casa, tem muito que se lhe diga. Já passei muitas horas a folhear revistas, pesquisar na net, em blogues da especialidade…

Um dia destes exponho aqui umas fotos com o resultado deste projecto, que tem sido pensado e realizado pelo Nuno e por mim. Com a ajuda da familia, claro!

For some time, I cannot work in anything related to painting ... reason, between work, family and decoration of the house there isn’t any time left. The ideas are floating in the air, waiting for the expected time of completion.

Decorating a house, it’s not easy. I spend many hours browsing the magazines, search the net and in blogs of specialty ...

One of these days i will expose here some photos with the outcome of this project, which has been thought and done by Nuno and me. With the help of family, of course!
